Karen Cahill
Karen manages Nathaniel Lacy LLP’s Third Party Recoveries Team and Defence Pre-Litigation Team, and is a member of the Defence Personal Injuries Team. All of her work is for insurance companies.
In recoveries, Karen manages a portfolio of more than 400 third party recovery files for a single client, together with recovery instructions for a number of other clients, including matters that proceed to litigation in the District Court and Circuit Court. In pre-litigation, she has managed more than 400 personal injury actions at PIAB stage for one client, resolving them before proceedings issued. Her own caseload comprises litigated personal injury defence files and the defence of litigated material damage recovery claims.
Karen has more than 26 years’ combined experience: in employment law and dispute resolution from 1996 to 2013, and in defence litigation from 2013 to date. She joined Nathaniel Lacy LLP in 2023.
