Audrey McGinley

Audrey’s practice centres on the defence of suspected fraudulent and exaggerated claims. She acts for a wide range of insurers across road traffic accident, employers’ liability and public liability claims, and practises in the District Court, Circuit Court and High Court.

Recent matters include a suspected-exaggeration motor claim in which the plaintiff, who alleged he could no longer work as a taxi driver, withdrew his case after Audrey obtained photographs of him continuing to drive his taxi; and a disputed-liability motor claim dismissed at hearing, with costs awarded against the plaintiff, following supportive engineering evidence.

Audrey qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has 18 years’ experience. She joined Nathaniel Lacy LLP in 2023, having previously worked with a number of specialist defence litigation practices. She is admitted as a solicitor in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, and holds further qualifications in employment law, mediation, data protection and insurance.

Outside work, Audrey enjoys spending time with her family, travel and GAA, and is a supporter of Bohemian FC.
