Nat Lacy
Nat has led Nathaniel Lacy LLP as Managing Partner since 2013, combining management of the firm and its Litigation Department with an active practice centred on catastrophic injury and large-loss claims: the matters where the financial and reputational stakes for an insurer are highest.
A defence litigation solicitor for more than 15 years, Nat acts for insurance companies, local authorities and self-insured corporate organisations across public liability, employers’ liability, road traffic and commercial claims. He works exclusively in defence litigation and dispute resolution and represents clients in the District Court, Circuit Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Nat also heads the firm’s Legal Costs Department. He advises clients on the negotiation of legal costs at the conclusion of claims and conducts costs adjudications (formerly taxations) across all circuits, before the former Taxing Master and the current Legal Costs Adjudicators, so that clients’ exposure on costs receives the same attention as the defence of the claim itself.
